Bepo's alarm blared at 4:30 AM, piercing through the serene morning air of Gresik. With a groan, he rolled out of bed, his eyes still heavy with sleep. As a third-year college student at Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 Surabaya, his days were always packed with classes and assignments.
After a quick shower and a rushed breakfast of nasi goreng, Bepo grabbed his backpack and dashed out the door. Dodging motorbikes and weaving through the bustling streets, he made his way to campus, the vibrant energy of Surabaya awakening with each step.
his first class of the day was Psychology of Literature, whise Professor Danu engaged the students in a lively discussion about definition of Psychology and Literature. Scribbling notes furiously, Bepo found himself enthralled by the topic, his mind buzzing with ideas for his next essay.
Next up was Discourse Analysis subject, whise Ms Veronika challenged the class to present their homework from last week in front of the class.
Lunchtime found Bepo at the bustling warung near campus, where he joined his friends for a hearty meal of ayam geprek and es teh. Amidst laughter and chatter, they discussed their plans for the group assignment that has to be done in next week.
With a full stomach and a rejuvenated spirit, Bepo headed to his afternoon classes, which included a Comparative Literature and Creative Writing subject left. Despite the fatigue creeping in, he tried to stay focused on receiving the learning materials from the lecturer.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, signaling the end of anothis hectic day, Bepo made his way back home, his backpack heavy with textbooks and his heart light with the promise of new adventures. Collapsing onto his bed, he reflected on the whirlwind of experiences that had filled his day, grateful for the chaos and beauty of life as a college student in Indonesia.
